Violence

There are so many incidents of violence across this world that it physically hurts. It's at points like this that I give thanks for organizations like Silent Unity. Silent Unity prays 24 hours a day seven days a week with anyone who calls. They have been doing so for over one hundred years.

Then realize this is just one faith tradition set of prayers and there are prayer circles all over the world of different faith transitions, different sizes of groups, and different intentions. I have two ministers that I pray with on a weekly basis and the phone calls are always so healing.

Rachel and I also have a daily prayer list; we have people who are added continually but we tend not to drop people off the list. The challenges are many; prayer brings hope which is such a powerful emotion. Combined with optimism hope can move mountains.

It is so needed. There continues to be such a strong 'us vs them' mentality when of course in truth there is no 'them.' Yet there are stories of such horrific acts that humans do to each other. It is at that point that the spiritual aspect has been locked in so deep it is hard to believe it can change. But change it does. There continue to be stories of miracles. It is the person so far down the path and yet something happens and the violent facade cracks and everything changes.

I pray with hope that this will happen over and over where I least expect it. If you have a miracle story in which hope prevails send it to me at tigger1@surewest.net. We want to share those moments.

Meanwhile every day I drink in at the watering hole of information looking for the next story, the next miracle. In that moment I am reminded of the wondrous role God has in the process every moment of every day.

I again remind you (and myself) that only we can make a difference. It is no coincidence that we are at the planet at this time; our role is critical.

So each day is the next step. It is a fresh set of circumstances where we can be the peace we want in the world. It is coming to us with the same energy we are putting out. Do not EEyore this! For some reason Eeyore found it easier to give up hope. But there is a reason you have shown up. Take the next step and be the full authentic you! The miracles are coming!
