One of the really cool things about life is that we are continually updating our software. Day after day, month after month, we have ongoing improvement the ways we approach life.
So how does this happen? I had a wonderful conversation this week with a friend during which we looked at how we learn new things. We discussed that the truth of life is that we are impacted over and over again by the people we meet and by the things they do.
Twice in my life I made major moves from one location to another growing up in a military family. When this happened I realized that no one in our new location knew me. I saw it as an opportunity to be whatever I wanted to be. No one knew my good points or my bad points so I could be whoever I wanted to be. So I took a look at some of the characteristics that I did not like about myself and change them. It was so freeing and at the same time a llttle frightening.
I am not sure why I realized that I had this ability in changing. But now I realize we all have that ability all the time. We can consciously choose to do things in a different way teach time we come to a place in the road. But it means we must step out of the content of life and pause for a moment. We must be aware that the next time this action occurs then this time I will do it differently.
The second part of the process is that we can take a look at situations and people in our lives and get personal feedback on how it is we approach our future.
This is especially true of people we come into contact on a daily basis. As we see people being authentic we always have the ability to state 'I want to be like that!' It is the gift that is given to us constantly. It gives us spiritual feedback to connect with the very best of the Divine. Now I know this means we can also connect with the other side of ego.. I always want to remember that 'when two or more are gathered in His name' means the Divine shows up. But it also means the ego and human side show up also.
So the question is which side will we choose? It means we always have another chance; we always have another God moment. Are you ready for a miracle?
