I received an email from a friend who has been religiously following my blogs. He noted I had been taking a long vacation and looked forward to my new blogs.
Well, I'm back! I've been through what everyone worries about. I was hacked and everything from my bank accounts to my computer to my phone was compromised. I have been off-line for over five weeks. We've been taking the steps to get everything secure again. So I've been focusing on the simple things - like my personal identity and what is real and protecting my life.
I've spent hours on the phone with people who supposedly represented computer tech support and supposedly my bank fraud department. But they were the scammers - we thought they were helping. Then they directed us to withdrawing cash to deposit into a bitcoin machine and to buying Apple cash cards.
The truth is that your financial will never ask you for money - never! The reminder is to develop your own computer support team. I forgot at first and when I called my computer guy (working with him for twenty years!) his response was classic. "No, no, no - disconnect your computer immediately and I will pick it up and clean it up."
We let this overwhelm us. We forgot that through the years we have built up goodwill and strong connections, and if we listen to those who normally support us all will be well.
We turned to doing a lot of meditations and grounding. Again we learned that when things get tough and our world is falling apart we only need to turn to spirit and each other. I remembered again about falling in love with my wife!
This is a relationship builder but I don't recommend doing it this way. Thanks as always for your support and reaching out when I disappeared. For a while, we sent out cryptic notes (we're OK but we can't talk about it right now.). This caused some consternation.
I haven't got to the point of seeing this adventure with gratitude but I'm working on it! Thanks for listening.
