So I am still amazed that I have continued to write my blogs day after day after day. They represent my look at the world around us and my internal world. It's a strange world as we do our best to live in it. It is the Monty Python skits done in real life. The world also reflects another comedy group of the 70's called The Firesign Theater. They had a wonderful comedy album called "How can you be in two places at once when you're really nowhere at all.
I am so blessed that last summer my wife talked me into doing a blog. In the end, this blog encapsulates a period of time when my kidneys failed. Then came December 28th and my emergency trip to the hospital. I was not to get back home for some 57 days filled with rehab and procedures and operations. Early in January I came close to death as my lung collapsed during a procedure. As well as I could, I continued to write my blog. It became a place to share my feelings, my fears, my quirky observations, and anything else. I now have a memoir of this tough period of my life.
My previous blog was my 200th since August of last year. I still take time now and then to go back and read old blogs. I can't believe some of the things I've been sharing but in the end I've been authentic and real. This is how sausage is made!
So I spent the last couple days going through the 200 by title. If this is the first blog you've read or you've just recently started reading, these are my favorite blogs thus far in no particular order.
They are: "Unicorns", "Meanness", "Barking", "The Werewolf", and "The Swamp". Take a l;ook and enjoy. Sometimes I read some of the old ones and can't believe they are writings that I did. It is a classic case of my hand and God's thoughts. I give thanks that I can take a breath (and still have oxygen( and know God is walking with me. Thank you all through the years for joining Rachel and I in our journey of interfaith along with Interfaith Connection (2014 and 2015), Interfaith classes (2010), and the many field trips and events that Rachel led through the years. How blessed we are!
This is a community filled with spirit hearts of all faith traditions again doing the best they can. Thank each of you for how you show up..........
