So the world continues to do strange things and of course I love to find the odd ones!
Recently there was a movie screening in Vermont for the movie "Inside the Mind of a Dog" attended by dogs. They were going for a world record which was 220 dogs. They fell ten dogs short - not enough bark! There had been 280 sign-ups but 70 no-shows. The organizers were upset because some dogs just showed up without registering - the curs!
Now a Disneyland story. In 1985 a man went to Disneyland during the 30th anniversary celebration. He won the prize of a free 'passport' admission to the park. He went home and put the tickets along with a special badge into a family scrapbook. This year his daughter was graduating from high school and wanted to celebrate at Disneyland. She complained the tickets were so expensive. It reminded him of his scrapbook. He pulled out the passport and the badge and off she went to the park. The ticket taker team was so excited and said the passport was a rare find. She enjoyed a day at the park.
Dustin Ebey is disgusted with the state of politics and lives in the state of Texas, He decided he was going to make a difference - in a Texan way! He went to court and had his name legally changed to "Literally Anybody Else." Now he is urging people to vote for him - literally anybody else.
I someimte think people may have a little too much time on their hands. It;s the same feeling any parent has when their four-year old is in another part of the house - and their is no noise1 This is a danger sign!
Some of the odd stories cause me to think we need more to do., Since I am retired I have more time. But my monkey mind can take me to some strange places. It is interesting that I look at these odd stories and see them objectively - as no more than odd stories. But monkey minds can be dark and depressing filled with doubt.
So another blog just looking at some of the things that cause this blog to be called - "seriously God?"
